Description
From Camp Verde head take Route 260 heading east. Just outside of Camp Verde you'll find the turn off to Fossil Creek Forest Road #708. You'll need to drive down a dirt road for almost 14 miles before you reach the trailhead.
The Flume Creek Trail is one of the most popular trails leading to the spring, and it starts off at the mouth of a scenic canyon at the base of the Mogollon Rim. You'll continue along typical Arizona canyonland until suddenly, the terrain around you transforms into an amazing water wonderland.
As you work your way towards the falls there are several areas where it is possible to get into the creek and cool off or stop for a snack or lunch.
Once you've made your way to the springs, take your time to enjoy the lush vegetation surrounding you. Once you've had your fill, head back to your vehicle the way that you came in.
Flora & Fauna
