Family Friendly A short, good trail leads to a large outcrop where the summit block is large enough to picnic on. Kids will have fun scrambling on the rocks.

Description

This is an easy trail with excellent signage that tops out on a true summit. Wind through outcroppings to the summit block. The trail will deposit you at the base of a large rock formation, and there are many ways to ascend to the top, though none of these are on trail. You'll have to do some scrambling to reach the summit, but it's usually worth the effort!

Flora & Fauna

Evergreen is always a good place to see elk, and has lovely ponderosa and lodgepole pine forests.
