Big Leaf Trail is the first trail you'll come upon from the parking lot. It's mostly shaded and relatively flat for about half of the trail. In the beginning, you'll have views of the vineyards right across Faught Road, and the mountains on the horizon too. Once you start to veer left, deeper into Shiloh, you'll be hitting some hills. You can smell the change in foliage from the oaks that riddled the first portion to the wonderfully smelling pines. Eventually, you'll hit a clearing where the trail runs into South Ridge Trail.
