Description

A highly-recommended trail with an easy bottom section, steep strenuous middle, and well-constructed top section above treeline making the last push to the ridge very pleasant with less of the scrambling of other trails in the area. There are several ladder climbs on the trail. It passes a long, picturesque waterfall. There are also great views of Castle Ravine and the Castle Trail across the gully.

Easy beginning and ending sections with very steep and strenuous middle section. Well-built trail above treeline with great views. Nice waterfall.

Combined this with a hike up the Castle trail and back to the same trailhead. Easier downhill than the Castle trail would have been. 3mi — 2h 30m
