Description

Woodland Star Trail runs parallel and south of Valley of the Moon. There are 2 connecting spurs along the trail if you choose to go back and forth or cut to one or the other. Woodland Star offers a few generous vistas that look to either Jack London State Park, Sugarloaf, or down south toward Eldridge. The trail gets narrow with some tall grasses in some spots, so be sure to give yourself a thorough tick check when you're done hiking.

Note that some trails in the park go through the park's boundaries. They'll go past barbed wire fences and usually there are signs that say "park boundary." Anything beyond the park's boundaries are uncharted and aren't marked, so don't get lost! There are also many cuts and unmarked spurs that lead outside the park.
