The Easy Grade Trail and the Upper Old Mine Trail parallel each other and essentially go to and from the same places, but the Easy Grade Trail is more woodsy and contours along a valley instead of following a open ridgeline like the Upper Old Mine Trail.

The Easy Grade Trail starts just off the upper reaches of the signed Bootjack Trail near Mountain Theater. Descend the valley above Bootjack Creek. The trail is rocky and there is a lot of underbrush and downed trees encroaching from the forest. Easy Grade ends near the Panoramic Highway, close to the Pantoll Trailhead.
