Description

This trail is lower elevation and often used as an alternative to the PCT. It is at a lower elevation so this route is good to use when the PCT has snow on Diamond Peak. There are also many more lakes for late season water refill and swimming. Sections of the trail pass through areas that were long ago burned out, but its not too distant between swaths of green trees for overnight, shade, and rest.
