Family Friendly This hike is a flat loop with no major climbing or obstructions. It would be perfect for small children or parents with child carriers. The trail is not wide enough for a stroller.

Description

This is an easy hike through wildflower fields and wooded areas. Going south on 360 turn right onto Old Spicewood Springs Road, and you'll see a parking lot at the corner of Old Spicewood Springs Road. Cross the street to find the trailhead for the Irving & Hazeline Smith Memorial Trail.

After a short wooded stretch, the trail emerges into a long stretch of flat grassland that is filled with wildflowers in the spring. This trail is flat and narrow throughout and ideal for families. This trail is very close to a protected watershed and private property.
