Description

The first leg of this short little loop will really get your heart pumping. A bench is conveniently positioned at the "summit" where you can sit and have a sip of water...or a nitroglycerin tablet...

Yosemite hikers will be sure to snark, but to Midwest prairie hikers accustomed to gently rolling hills, a 20% grade is a real workout.

Be especially careful on the descent at the end. A 100' near drop off into the Apple River below is possible should you veer off the trail. Watch the kids, and keep pets leashed here for sure.
