Family Friendly While the gradients on this trail may prove challenging for younger children, the presence of an old mine site may make this hike worthwhile.

Description

Hike along a dilapidated roadbed to the site of the Brooklyn coal mine. Along the way, take a break from the trail's moderately graded, rolling terrain to peek through the trees for beautiful views of the New River Gorge.
