A great interpretive loop that is accessible to all.
The Exit Glacier Area is open all year round. Around mid-November, when the snow season really begins, the road to Exit Glacier is closed to vehicles but accessible to a range of Winter Recreation including dogsleds, snowmobiles, XC skiers and fat bikes. The road usually stays closed until early May, so be sure to check the
current conditions if you are visiting during the off season.
Description
This one-mile paved loop is a great way to experience some of the sites at Exit Glacier if you have limited time or are traveling with those needing an accessible trail.
From the Exit Glacier Nature Center, follow the path to the left, toward "Glacier View." Just under half way around the loop, you'll arrive at Glacier View and find, you guessed it, spectacular views of Exit Glacier.
Past the viewpoint, the trail continues looping in the clockwise direction and ends back at the main trailhead.
