Description
After you have completed the
Crater Lake Trail #623, you can choose to continue and climb North Twilight Peak. It is a grunt of a climb, but the views of the surrounding area are absolutely amazing. There may be faint trails as you wind your way to the base of the climb and as you ascend. Overall, it's pretty straightforward... up.
There are many social trails around the lake, but your main goal is to continue in a southeasterly direction toward the large north face. After you get to the southern edge of the lake, make your way uphill along a faint path (it may be more well established, I haven't been there in awhile) up into the meadow.
Once there, there is a route on the southwestern ridge that you can follow for a short time until the path takes you out onto the face itself. The face in summer time can be covered with grasses and if you are lucky wildflowers. Find your path of least resistance to gain the ridge. Once on the ridge, you'll do some very easy scrambling as well as some hiking until you arrive at the summit. Enjoy!!
