Family Friendly A nice short trail that pairs well with a little exploration of the Coastal Trail: Lagoon Creek segment. Just turn around when everyone's had their fill of the views.

Description

As the name implies, the eastern trailhead for this trail is subtle and can be easily missed. From the northwest ends of the Trees of Mystery and Motel Trees parking areas, head a hundred feet up Hwy 101 and look for this singletrack ducking into the forest. There is a trail sign and marker at the start, near the sign for Klamath.

From here, the trail heads west at an easy grade for a half mile until it makes a final climb up to the Coastal Trail: Lagoon Creek segment. You'll find great views of the coastline here and access to the shore.

Best beach we've seen, discovered anemone, sea stars, and rock crabs. Liked it so much we did it twice! 1mi
