Description

From the trailhead parking at South Higuera/Ontario/101, head to the north and stay right to access the North Loop. The trail crosses a drainage, then climbs up and over a foothill and cattle guard before descending gradually to a Sycamore and a bridge a couple drainages over.

From here, the trail climbs a bit steeply past some Yucca, then up a shaded oak canyon. At the back of the canyon, stay left as the trail follows an easy contour through the shade of some oaks. Right is the Filipponi Trail. Though you've been traveling through some shade, the trail can be exposed at times. After crossing a cattle guard, you can stay right for the South Loop or take the left to head back to the trailhead.
