Description
When traveled as mapped, this trail continues on from the
Wild Burro Loop Trail and is a super fun downhill glide. Featuring mostly smooth singletrack and some winding switchbacks, it's simply a blast! The only thing which will slow you down are the incredible views!
There are several spots of unobstructed views to the southeast that allow you to take in the beauty of the Catalina Mountains in the distance, downtown Tucson, and further mountain ranges as well. You'll be peering down into the gated community of Canyon Pass as well.
The trail needs little in the way of directions as it's right in front of you with no real turns. Eventually the trail leads you to the
Alamo Springs Trail which can be followed along the hillside or you can drop down the
Alamo Springs Spur back to the
Wild Burro Trail. The only negative about the Ridgeline Trail is that it's not near the trailhead so isn't as accessible for shorter outings.
If you take this one in reverse, it's also a great trail with some nice steady climbing.
