Description

This trail is a beautiful trail with so much to see. The first two miles of the trip is the hardest because of a somewhat steep ascent, and the terrain. There is a lot of loose rock to traverse on the uphill slopes that makes it difficult climb at some points.

Once on top of a rolling ridgeline, there is a beautiful view and a large amount of pine and juniper trees. If you take a look at maps you can also find Longview Spring.

Once you've gained the ridge, the hiking is much easier. Enjoy the rest of this longer trail, and admire the pine forest as you make your way to the Guadalupe Ridge Trail, where this route ends.

Retrace your steps to return to the trailhead.
