Features Views

Family Friendly This trail's flat grades, manageable length, and ocean views make it a great option for families with children. Children will love searching for the remains of the historic fishing village.

This trail is currently not being maintained by the National Park Service because it houses critical habitat for the Cape Sable thoroughwort. The trail continues to be open, but visitors should be mindful of the potential for obstructions along the trail.

Description

Head out from the Coastal Prairie Trail toward the ocean, keeping your eyes peeled for signs of a deserted fishing settlement. Hurricane Katrina damaged this area immensely, so see if you can spot the damaged zones along the way.
