Description

This section of the Coastal trail, heading south, connects Muir Beach with the Coyote Ridge and on down into the Tennessee Valley. You can count on climbing for half of your journey until you are up on the Coyote Ridge. From the Muir Beach side it is much steeper. Many will take the Pirates Cove trail because it is closer to the ocean but it is steep climbing out once you have reached Pirates Cove. Trekking poles are recommended on this trail.
