Carpineti to Mount San Vitale Trail

A great way to hike from the middle of the historic town of Carpineti to the top of the Anoniano Mountain.

Follow the track at the left of the Church and ascend for 1 km to the Carpineti Castle, after, turn around the ring and cross the way, moving onto the singletrack until you eventually reach the San Vitale Abbey. Along the trail, you'll pass many historic sites, and you'll be able to take in both scenic views and the incredible history of the area as you climb to the abbey. If you've ever dreamed of hiking past a castle, and through sun-soaked countryside, this singletrack is the trail for you! Though there are a few steep portions, the trail is fairly easy to navigate.

From the top you can see the Secchia and Tresinaro river valley, so take a moment to enjoy the views!
