Overview

This breathtaking route leads visitors through a unique canyon located just outside of Nice. It can be done as a one-way shuttle hike, or as an out-and-back.

Need to Know

Beware of potential flash floods aggravated by a closed environment all over the year. Make sure to consult weather forecast.

Description

The Donaro Vallon is by far the prettiest of the 11 dark vallons located within the Nice area. Along the way, visitors can expect to leave the bustle of the city behind as they work their way up this unique canyon.

You'll follow the very shallow river that flows down this lush green canyon which is up to 80m high and 1m wide. You may encounter tunnels, caves, and cascades along this moist trail.
