Description

The Eagle Trail is a nearly 2-mile trail on the north side of the Eno River. The entire trail is part of the statewide Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and the two trails overlap in the park. The trail starts at the small parking area across a bridge and over the Eno River. Visitors will have to park, and then retrace their steps to reach the trail.

From the start, the route leads to a rock-hop crossing over Crooked Creek, and then continues east from there. There are a few rocky sections and the entire trail has great views. The Eagle River Trail ends at Roxboro Road. The MST continues westbound towards Eno River State Park.
