The trailhead is located at the Mariners Museum parking lot. It is a well marked, singletrack trail that provides some endurance for hiking in the elements and terrain. There are some really beautiful scenery along the trail, wooden bridges, Muary Lake and a short section along the banks of the James River.

At just about 5 miles, this is a great trail that allows you escape the urban feel of Newport News. Enjoy the scenery!

This trail can get congested on nice days so be prepared. Many walkers and dogs.

You will find Virginia flora and fauna throughout the trails.
