Description
Starting from the pier, this scenic trail will follow the coast as it wraps from the Sydney Harbor National Park in Manly, around Balgowlah Heights, and finally ends near the Spit Bridge. Along the way, you'll be shocked that you're still in Sydney, as this beachside path can feel quite remote. Visitors will pass through rough bushland, hike through suburbs, and enjoy spectacular views of the Sydney Harbor. The way is well maintained and makes for easy navigation, but use some caution, as there are many portions of the trail that approach cliff edges.
There are numerous entrance points, and a few trails that branch into the North Head area, making a customized route possible. Enjoy heading through the inner harbour, and returning back to Manly for a refreshing beer once you've finished the whole route!
Flora & Fauna
Lizards such as the Eastern Water Dragon and the Burton's legless lizard can be seen sunning themselves on the trail, along with various types of possums and bandicoots. If you're quiet, you may be able to see some of the local birdlife, like a New Holland Honeyeater or a Fairy Penguin.
