Family Friendly Mostly level trail, makes a good out-and-back of any distance

Description

At nearly 14 miles long, Baker Lake Trail is more than just a day hiking destination. Multiple backcountry campsites and little elevation gain make this a popular trail for backpackers, too. It's relatively low elevation means it remains snow-free for much of the year, so it even makes a good hike in winter.

You can start from either end of the trail for an out and back of any distance. Baker Lake Trailhead makes the south end, and Baker River Trail is the north.
