Family Friendly This trail has easy access to spectacular views that anyone in the family can enjoy.

The final 2.7 miles of SR 542 (the road to Artist Point) closes in the winter and reopens in the late spring or early summer.

Description

The trail starts at the Artist Point Trailhead. This trail is very popular and remains snow covered for most of the year. Make sure to stay on the trail to preserve the fragile ecosystem.

The trail starts by heading east from the parking lot along Kulshan Ridge. Take in the views of Mt. Shuksan, Mt. Baker, and the American border peaks as you hike through high alpine meadows that may start to bloom by the late summer. The trail gradually ascends to Huntoon Point where the panoramic views won't disappoint.
