Mule Creek Trail winds from Tucker Flat through Mule Creek's pristine gorges, into a mixed old growth forest to Panther Ridge. The historic pack route was revived in 2015 after decades of neglect and sustained damage from the 2005 Blossom Fire. During high flows, the wet crossings of Mule Creek could be hazardous.

The best time to hike the trail is in the Spring or Fall. Summer temperatures can reach 100 degrees F on southern aspects.
