Description

The Laurel Bluff Trail runs from Lake Brandt Road to North Church Street. From Lake Brandt Rd, follow the trail by the pump station fence and take a quick right to dip into the bamboo forest. Take a sharp left before the old abandoned barn. After a short jaunt through the woods you'll cross a small meadow then back into the woods.

After 3/4 miles you'll meet your first climb, short but steep with some rocks and roots. Once up the hill you'll work your way along the edge of a small bluff overlooking the Reedy Fork creek. After another short, steep climb you'll continue on through a meadow overgrown with kudzu before heading back into the woods.

The trail continues along side Lake Townsend with small rolling hills until you reach N. Church St.

Some leaves have fallen covering the trail. BE ALERT: leaves reduce traction; leaves hide roots. Found out 2nd item the hard way :-) 6.8mi — 2h 07m
