Description

The Tower Trail begins on and intersects with various old, overgrown, brick roads. There is an observation tower toward the northwest corner of the trail, and from it you can see marsh and the Ortega River, an offshoot of the St. Johns River. There are interestingly bent trees all along this park, some of which you can see from this trail. The trail is sometimes above ground on a boardwalk in areas that tend to flood.

Fun facts: Tilley Fowler used to be called Westside Regional Park. There is an Archery club onsite, as well as a play area for children, picnic areas, and a somewhat new dog park. If you like seafood, Trent's is located right next door and is pretty great.

Flora & Fauna

There are lots of pine trees in the park, and don't be surprised if you come across some stray cats.

Some of the more open part of the Tower Trail. Also, the bridge in this photo is actually part of the trail that's above ground, and it actually goes over part of the brick road.
