Dogs Off-leash
Open dawn till dusk.
Description
The trail climbs ~500 ft. in elevation, traversing in and out of rock outcroppings and through rhododendron tunnels to the well known
High Rocks outcrop. The scenery and the local flora make this an exceptional hike! From the high point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views to the north as well as to the southwest, looking back over Crystal Springs Recreation Area.
There are a few especially steep sections, and these tend to be rocky as well. Use caution here, and be courteous to your fellow trail users.
Be mindful that this trail does take you to the border of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Big Survey Wildlife Management Area. If you plan to continue your trip onto their property, please be sure to visit their website and follow the rules and regulations they have in place.
