Description

Sawhill Ponds is an easy loop that lets you wander along the ponds and enjoy the many birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles that call this area home.

The Sawhill Ponds (there are 18!) are the result of gravel mining operations, which ended in the 1970s. Groundwater filled the open pits after operations ceased and the result of which is the rich wetlands we have today.
