Description
From the trailhead, follow Wickersham Trail east. Before you leave, however, take a look at the overall White Mountains area map with very clear directions. From the end of Wickersham Trail, there is a very obvious wooden sign that outlines your options. Stay to the right to continue the remaining 11 miles towards Moose Creek cabin.
From Moose Creek Cabin, the route meanders northwest, eventually crossing Beaver Creek National Wild River and stops at an intersection with Cache Mountain Loop Trail and McKay Creek Trail.
This is backcountry Alaska at its finest!
Flora & Fauna
The trail is heavily populated with skinny spruce trees. In the summer, these trails are covered with wild blueberry patches.
