Alvin B. Thomas Park and Jaycee Park are located at the east end. The Northglenn Rec. Center is also at the NW end, and this is a great way to access each.
Open year round and usually plowed within 24 hours of major snow fall.
Description
This trail runs east / west and connects the
Farmers Highline Canal Trail to the Northglenn Marketplace shopping center and on to the
Grange Hall Creek Trail. The Greenway Trail visits various small parks along its route.
This is an easy path to take on its own, but visitors can also add length on either end. It can be extended to the NW via the
Farmers Highline Canal Trail to visit the Northglenn Recreation Center for swimming and an additional workout. To the East you can connect to the Thornton Rec Center & Carpenter Park Lakes
Loop 4 trails via the
Grange Hall Creek Trail.
The segment that parallels I-25 is noisy, and hardly green. If you travel with your 4-legged friend, many back yards along this section of trail also have dogs that may be unhappy to see you. It is mostly just a path squished into the noise easement that connects you to other things. This section best experienced on bike so you can get through it quickly.
Flora & Fauna
Not much along this trail. There are some signs warning of coyotes and lots of goose scat on the path, but not much else.
