Best avoided post-rains, as trail wear and erosion are issues on this trail when wet.

Trail begins at the lot on Dry Creek Rd. near Humphreys. Steep ascent of the hills above Dry Creek Rd (have seen lots of kestrels riding the winds on this hillside). Then descend, crossing two residential streets and Currant Creek Trail #75. Then a steep ascent headed north towards Ourada Ranch. Keep right at the Landslide Loop #70 intersection (which makes a great return leg back to Currant Creek Trail #75) and press ever upwards.

Stellar views of Stack Rock straight ahead. After cresting the hill, head down the backside to trail's end at Cartwright Road. Return either on pavement (Cartwright Road) or via Landslide Loop #70 (note LLT is closed to all uses Nov 1 - Mar 1 for the elk migration).
