Description

The Cobb Trail can be accessed from the trailhead at the end of Highland Valley Road. Begin on the West Highland Valley Trail and turn left at the junction with Cobb Trail after approximately 0.3 miles. After a brief descent through a small ravine, the trail climbs steadily into the foothills. Near the end of the trail and its junction with Lucky Peak Trail #6, the Cobb Trail becomes steeper and rockier. Those who make the climb, however, will be rewarded with amazing views of Boise, the Owyhee Mountains, and Lucky Peak. Cobb Trail can easily be combined with West Highland Valley Trail, East Highland Valley Rd, and Lucky Peak Trail #6 for a loop back to the trailhead.
