Family Friendly Though this route might be a bit long for younger kids, the gentle path and scenic views make this a great family excursion for older kids.

Description

Access this trail via the Maple Springs Trail from the Maple Springs Trailhead. The Big Hollow Trailhead is located directly across the road from where the Maple Springs Trail ends. After completing the first tenth of a mile, you can choose to hike this trail in either direction. Regardless of which direction you choose, you'll enjoy undulating terrain through hardwood forest until you reach the Connector Trail which leads to Big Hollow Trail South Loop.

The North Loop totals about 4.4 miles and is all singletrack with some easy to moderate ascents.
