Description

The Red Tail Trail stays dryer than the River Trail and is well protected from the wind. The west end of the trail is not marked. It can be reached from the northern most branch of the River Trail or from the trail that heads straight south from the Mid-Point Trailhead. The trail continues just north of the tree line and travels largely due east.

After about 0.3 miles, you'll pass a post marked N4 on the north side of the trail. A little further east is a bench just south of the trail. At its east end, the Red Tail Trail connects with the Osprey Trail (there is a post marked P5 and a trail map at this location).
