This trail begins at the far end of the Buck Ridge Green Loop. Take it downhill from the Green Loop and descend into the creek drainage. Be careful as there are steep sections with eroded trail. Cross the creek bottom and keep right as you climb up steep, rocky sections.

Once on top of the hill the trail meanders towards Buzzard Canyon and the Fresno River. Continue to drop down rocks to the river or take the short cut trail left. The trail loops back around above the river to reconnect with the start of the trail.
