Family Friendly There is a children's play area near the entrance to the trail.

The trail closes at dusk and opens again at dawn. After heavy snow, the trail may be closed until it can be plowed.

Description

The trail begins at the visitors center to Crow's Nest Preserve. Visitors can follow the yellow arrows along the trail through the woods and meadows. Hikers will pass over a small stream on a bridge made of white oak decking. A glance to the left and you'll be looking into the forest, and a glance to the right gives you a peek into the meadows. A portion of the trail runs by French Creek before turning into an open meadow.

Flora & Fauna

The trail runs through woodlands, meadows, and crop fields.

Birds include wood duck, wood thrush, rusty blackbirds, woodpeckers, vireos, and warblers. Animals include red fox, raccoon, and beaver.
