Family Friendly There are several parks, walking paths, and beginner trails for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The trail is closed during wet or muddy conditions. Up to the minute trail conditions can be found on the Facebook group here: facebook.com/groups/CCMTB/

Please be courteous to other trail users - this is a multiuse trail and you'll encounter mountain biker, runners, and hikers.

Overview

A great run on the multi-use Cypress Creek Trail, with many options to make longer or shorter loops as desired.

Need to Know

There are several places to park, but the best place is along the empty lots on Glenway. The street address is 10914 Glenway, 77070.

Note: there will soon be a designated parking lot near the 100-Acre Wood Preserve, updates to follow when that parking area is available.

Description

The folks who have designed, built and maintained this trail over the years have taken careful consideration to include as many fun and sustainable hiking trails as possible.

Depending on where you start, and the order in which you hike the sections, you may have a different experience. This single fact contributes to the fun of this trail because it can feel like a different hike every time.

This trail is mostly flat and well-maintained. Enjoy the scenery and shade of the wooded sections of the trail.

History & Background

Part of the trail is located on the 100-Acre Wood Preserve, located in northwest Harris County. The preserve contains several unique forest communities, including an upland forest with remnants of mature post oaks and a forested wetland with overcup oak.
