Description

This trail lies between the Sidewinder Trail and the Octillo Trail. This trail is easier starting from the north (off the Sidewinder Trail) as the climb from the north is not as steep as the one from the south. Near the top, you'll see a marker for loop trail. Taking this loop in either direction will take you to the top of Ridgeback Overlook.

The elevation high point is 2,159 feet. You'll have excellent views and can clearly see the parking lot at the trailhead. Take the Ridgeback Trail down the south side to the Octillo Trail and back to trailhead for a total distance of 5.4 miles.
