Description
Owl Creek Trail follows its namesake Owl Creek for approximately half a mile. It is a north-south trail that can be used to connect from
Hawk Ridge Trail to
White Oak Trail.
Beginning at the south end next to the corporate picnic site, the trail starts out as a paved trail with the creek on the left and an open field on the right. After about 3/5 of a mile, the trail turns into a natural trail before ending again as a gravel trail.
After you cross Owl Creek, the trail makes a long, easy climb through the woods. This portion of the trail passes through one of the best examples of an oak woodland. Unfortunately, honeysuckle can also be found in this area. The trail ends at a junction with the
White Oak Trail. This trail is also suitable for cross country skiing in the winter.
