A flat, easy mile loop trail with great views, large tress, and the chance to see some wildlife.
Description
Dennis Schick Trail S. is a short loop trail through a pleasant mixture of woods and fields. It is a fairly flat trail with only a few rolling undulations. The park is home to some of the largest trees found anywhere in the St. Louis County park system. HikerS will enjoy the shade from large burr oaks, northern red oaks, and black oaks.
From this trail, you can access the southern end of the
Dennis Schick Trail N. if you would like to make a larger loop or figure eight hike. Otherwise, staying on the Dennis Schick Trail S. will loop you back to where you started in just over a mile.
