Description

Parking for this trail can be found across from the start of the trail at the Buck Hollow parking area.

The Meadow Spring Trail is a medium-easy hike with a couple uneven spots and a few short stretches of a moderately steep grade. Around twenty-five yards from the start, the trail takes a sharp switchback to the left, keep your eyes open for the blue blazes to stay on the trail.

The Meadow Spring is just under a half mile from Skyline Drive, off the trail on the right, just before the trail makes a 90-degree turn to the right. Fifty feet beyond the turn, you can see what remains of the Meadow Spring Cabin off the left side of the trail. The original cabin was constructed by Perry Sisk in 1930 for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, whose members used it as a base camp while they built out trails in this area.

The trail ends at the white-blazed AT.
