Family Friendly A short and gradual service road that is accessible from the Compton Gap parking lot with a fun hut to explore.

Description

This wide service road winds downward to the PATC (Potomac Appalachian Trail Club) service hut. Within a grove of locust trees sits the hut that used to be the Indian Run Shelter. The hut is now used to store tools and to provide shelter for volunteer trail maintenance workers.
