Description
From the trailhead at the end of Road 7085, you'll head south on Trail #83 towards Bluebird and Paradise Lake. The trail starts as doubletrack, but quickly changes to singletrack. The trail will quickly turn west and begin to climb. This trail climbs steadily for the first mile and then steepens for the remaining climb to Paradise Lake, at approximately 1.75 miles.
From the west side of the lake, there is a small side trail that will lead you to campsites on the north side of the lake. The lake is pretty shallow, but is gorgeous in it surroundings.
From the lake, the trail will continue uphill, through a meadow that it full of wildflowers during the spring. Less than .25 miles from Paradise Lake, you'll reach a junction with the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail.
I recommend taking the extra 5 minutes to get to the lake for which the trail is named. From here you'll head north, right, for a few hundred feet on the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail before you reach the junction, which you'll head west, left, to reach Bluebird Lake.
