This arterial trail in Palisades Park, while it doesn't present any challenging hiking or elevation change, offers some of the best views of downtown Spokane and the Spokane River Valley of any trail in the area. It's easy enough for beginner hiker and connects to other, more technical trails in the Park.

Since it is within an urban recreational area, it is subject to the challenges that accompany this, including litter, pet owners who don't clean up after their animals, and a potentially off-color clientele but the views more than make up for the challenges.
