Description

Short but sweet, this trail is a great, intermediate warm up. A little steeper than Sparky, but not as long as the Highpoint Trail, Sidewinder is right in the middle. The trail surface is mostly clear, and there are few obstacles, which make it a fun trail.

Originally created with mountain bikes in mind, this trail features some cool banked turns that hikers can really have fun with. Not your average foot-traffic trail, this one is fun both on the way up, and on the way down.

Combined with Sparky and the Highpoint Trail, this trio makes up Phase 1 of construction of the Watershed Crest Trail, a great longer-distance trail under construction in 2015.

Flora & Fauna

Visitors will be treated to gorgeous alpine flora including spruce, fir, beargrass and huckleberries.
