Description

This area offers a nice variety of trails from steady climbs on the frontside trails of Argos Trail and Pick N' Sledge to the more heavily forested hills of the Enchanted Forest, this area is a beauty and makes for a nice getaway. This trail is a nice, smooth singletrack and is primarily used to connect some of the upper trails over and across a valley and hillside and to provide another way to get over to the Enchanted Forest and Apex Trail from Sluicebox and the Grubstake Loop.

Flora & Fauna

Elk are abundant in the fall, with bugling ringing off the hills. Plenty of mule deer roam the hillsides. There is a creek along the Apex Trail which runs most of the year. Mountain lions have been seen here. You'll cross through valley meadows and a variety of pine forests.
