Family Friendly This trail is good for families because of the easy grade and how wide the trail is.

Do not park in the Bear Creek Lodge parking.

Description

Drive on 206 to the intersection with N Summit Rd and take a right. Park immediately in the lot, commonly known as the snowmobile lot.

From the trailhead, take the well-signed trail just behind the toilets. Follow the continuously descending trail to the lower trailhead be bear creek lodge. On your way down, you'll pass two well-marked trail junctions, but stay on #120.

You may see an occasional mountain biker heading up on this well-maintained trail.

The trail is pretty forested the entire way, but it does open up for two viewpoints of the valley towards the bottom.

You can either reverse the trail to get back to the top, or park a second car at the ranger station and shuttle your way back up.
