Description

Lace up your adventure shoes and prepare for a steep but short climb up the Point Lookout Trail. Starting at the Point Lookout Trail Parking Area, near the northern side of Morefield Campground, switchback up the trail for .75 miles before reaching the mesa top.

Continue along the trail, taking moments to catch your breathe and enjoy the increasingly beautiful views evolving as you climb higher. Upon reaching Point Lookout, indulge in breathtaking views of the Montezuma and Mancos Valleys below.

Flora & Fauna

Verdant desert shrubbery are abundant along the trail.
